Easily add or manage your Stripe information within the Payment Integrations section. Be sure to double-check whether live mode or test mode is enabled — this goes a long way toward ensuring successful transactions.
How It Works #
If you are accepting ACH payments, start by accessing the Payments section of your Stripe account settings.
Update your settings to classify ACH transactions, either letting Stripe handle it automatically (recommended) or setting it based on your business type (for example, goods only).
The ACH payment compliance setup in your Stripe dashboard is mandatory for anyone accepting ACH payments and must be completed manually.
Integrating Stripe #
To begin linking Stripe with your account, navigate to the Payment Integrations section, then select the Connect button associated with Stripe.
Next, click Connect with Stripe.
This will redirect you to a page where you can establish a connection with your Stripe account. Follow the on-screen prompts, such as inputting your email address and password, to complete the verification process. After successful integration, you will be able to accept payments through Stripe.
Stripe Live Mode #
Enable Stripe live mode when you are prepared to begin processing genuine transactions from your customers. This mode ensures that your payment gateway is fully operational and equipped to handle real-world purchases, providing a seamless experience for your clients.
Stripe Test Mode #
Use test mode when experimenting with new products to avoid unintentional charges. This mode allows you to simulate transactions, ensuring that your product setup and payment processes are working correctly without actually processing any real payments. By using test mode, you can identify and resolve potential issues before they affect your customers and safeguard yourself from accidental charges during the testing phase.
Google & Apple Pay #
If you are looking to accept payments from Apple Pay or Google Pay, leveraging Stripe is the way to go. Stripe allows you to show Apple Pay and Google Pay by default next to the credit card option during checkout.
To display Apple Pay and Google Pay, enable the toggle on the integrations page and register your domains with Stripe as an additional requirement.
When this option is enabled, Apple Pay and Google Pay are automatically integrated with branded domains for the Invoice, Text2Pay, and Payment Link features.
Note: All payments made through Apple Pay or Google Pay will be visible under the Orders and Transactions table.
Manage Payment Methods #
Click the Manage Payment Methods button to configure Stripe payment methods directly within the platform instead of on Stripe’s dashboard.
For existing customers, default payment methods will follow their current Stripe configurations. A separate Subscriptions list is available for subscription products, and this setting will override default checkout settings if a subscription product is present. Note that this setting is only accessible once at least one subscription has been added in Live mode within your account.
Enable or disable each option for various product areas in both Live and Test modes according to your preferences.
Note: Editing payment methods on Stripe will no longer be possible, and only available payment methods will appear in the corresponding product area or checkout.
Disconnecting Stripe #
If your account is already connected and you wish to disconnect it, the Disconnect button will be displayed, allowing you to easily remove the Stripe integration from your account.
Whether enabling live mode for real transactions, using test mode for trial runs, or integrating Apple Pay and Google Pay for added convenience, Stripe offers versatile solutions tailored to your business needs. Ensure your payment gateway is set up correctly by managing these features within the Payment Integrations section.
