Add Text Snippet

Maintaining consistent communication with your customers creates an environment of trust. It helps you build a strong, positive image that lasts with every person interested in your business. With the help of Text Snippets, you can easily maintain consistency across the board by creating premade messages to quickly respond to your contacts. These Snippets can be used to respond to SMS and short chat messages, such as Facebook or Instagram DMs.

Creating a Snippet #

To create a new text Snippet, start by clicking on the + New Snippet button on the top right of your screen under Snippets in the Conversations section of your account. A dropdown will appear for you to choose either Add Text Snippet or Add Email Snippet. In this case, click on Add Text Snippet. When you click on this button, a pop-up will appear to fill in your Snippet details.

Required Fields #

When creating a text Snippet there will be two required fields.

  • Name: When creating a Snippet, this helps ensure that you and your team can locate the right Snippet quickly and easily when needed.
  • Snippets Body: The body section of the Snippet is where you can type in your desired message. If you would like to make the message more personalized, you can add custom values and trigger links by clicking on their associated dropdown menus at the top of the box.

Attaching Files #

If you would like to add a file from your computer or device to a text Snippet, simply click on the Add Attachment button at the bottom left near the Snippet text. You can also add a file by inserting the file URL and clicking on the +Add button.

Through this feature, you can easily send images, documents, and other files in combination with the content of your message.

Sending a Test SMS #

It’s a good idea to test the Snippet by typing a Phone Number in the box under the message preview and then clicking the Send Test button.

Snippet Preview #

To get a glimpse of how your text Snippet will appear, simply direct your attention to the right portion of the screen. This section showcases the content of your Snippet, including the body text, values, and any attachments that have been included.

Saving a Snippet #

Once your Snippet is ready, click the Save button to add it to your Snippet library.
