POS System for Mobile Payments on iPads & Tablets

POS System for Mobile Payments on iPads & Tablets

The POS system offers a comprehensive and efficient solution for team members using larger devices like iPads or tablets for payment processing. With split-screen functionality and flexible orientation options, managing transactions is a breeze on your devices. Furthermore, the POS capability provides a powerful tool for businesses that process high transaction volumes daily.

Note: This feature is available on the LeadConnector App Version 3.84.x and above.

Key Features #

  • Split Window Mode: The POS operates in a split-screen layout. The console appears on the left, and the checkout process is displayed on the right. This design allows for seamless transactions by keeping the checkout details visible while adding items—no need to navigate back and forth.
  • Landscape and Portrait Modes: The POS supports both horizontal (landscape) and vertical (portrait) orientations, making it compatible with tablet docks and associated payment hardware. This flexibility ensures comfortable usage based on your device setup and preferences.

How It Works #

Install the App #

Download the LeadConnector app on your iPad or Android tablet.

Access the POS Screen #

Open the app drawer and select POS from Sales & Operations.

The POS Screen is divided into two sections:

  • Left: Use the keypad for custom items or the catalog for saved items.
  • Right: Review checkout details, link the customer’s contact, and add discounts if applicable.

Processing Payments #

Switch to the Catalog tab on the left, then add products by utilizing the search bar or selecting products from the list.

Update the name, description, quantity, and price, as well as other details specific to your product, then click Add to save your changes. Repeat this process as many times as necessary to add multiple products to a single transaction.

Once all the products have been added, add the customer and tap the “Add Coupon” button to apply any discounts.

When ready, click “Choose Payment Instrument.”

You will be presented with multiple payment options, including the ability to process transactions using external hardware integrated with your account. Select the option that best aligns with your business requirements.

Selecting Cards on file will use your connected payment processor, such as NMI or Square, to collect payment. If no card is added, you can enter the card details directly.

Selecting “Pay via Hardware” allows you to use your device’s NFC reader.

Otherwise, it will prompt you to connect your POS.

Each transaction will then be recorded and accessible within the Payments section of your account, allowing for simplified access and transaction management.

Incorporating split-screen functionality and multiple orientation modes ensures a smoother, more efficient transaction process, allowing businesses to focus on delivering exceptional service.
