SaaS Wallet & Complimentary Credits

SaaS Wallet & Complimentary Credits

Just like the platform bills your agency, sub-accounts are charged through the wallet, so that as long as you have enabled Rebilling or Reselling, you can pre-bill customers for their usage and prevent your business from incurring losses. A wallet with a zero balance will cause services to be interrupted or stopped.

Reviewing Your Wallet #

To view your agency’s wallet, navigate to the Billing section inside your Settings and switch to the Wallet & Transactions tab.

Managing Your Balance #

You can recharge credits to your account automatically by setting a total recharge when your balance goes under a threshold.

Or, use the Add Balance button to do it manually.

Reviewing a Sub-Account’s Wallet #

When it comes to billing for LC Services, such as sending a message, the agency is charged by the platform, while the client’s wallet is debited based on preset rebilling settings. For instance, if a client sends 100 messages at $10 with a 5x rebilling factor, the agency is billed $10, and the client’s wallet is charged $50.

To view your client’s wallet, switch to their account and follow the same steps outlined before.

It’s important to note that when clients recharge their wallet, their credit card is charged, and these funds are transferred to the agency’s Stripe account. In essence, the client pays the agency for wallet credits.

Complimentary Credits #

If the sub-account is on a SaaS Plan, you can set an amount of credits to be granted to the sub-account. You can add these credits upon plan creation, during management, or individually.

SaaS Plan Creation #

You can offer a fixed amount of credits to your clients each month to sweeten your plan offerings. When creating a new plan inside the Complimentary Credit section of the SaaS settings, enable the Add Credit while Signup option.

Select whether these are one-time or a monthly recurring expense, then enter the credit total.

SaaS Plan Management #

If you’ve already created your SaaS offering but want to modify the credits it includes, click Edit Details inside the SaaS Configurator.

Switch to the Trial and Credits tab.

If not previously enabled, toggle Add credits upon sign-up.

Select whether these are one-time or a monthly recurring expense, enter the credit total, then click Save Changes.

If you want to offer credits only after the trial period ends, check the box at the top right corner.

Individual Credits #

Whether you made a mistake, are offering a promotion, or want to surprise a client, you can add credits to their wallet. These credits can be granted in two main ways, depending on the frequency you wish to provide them to the customer. To add credits, start by heading to the Sub-Account section and managing the desired sub-account.

Inside the sub-account’s profile, switch to the Payments tab.

For one-time credits, click + Add Balance.

Select the Complimentary Credits option, enter the total, then click Proceed.

On the other hand, to modify the monthly complimentary credits, change the number inside the box under the current balance, then click Save.

Note: When dealing with monthly offers, you can enable rollover to allow customers to retain the unused credits for next month.

Controlling your offers and expenses is key to keeping a successful agency, so use the added control wallets offer you to your advantage and easily minimize spending while securing optimal functionality within the platform.

Frequently Asked Questions #

What is deducted from the wallet? #

Any usage-based rebilling services are deducted from the wallet — for example, LC Phone, Email, AI, and WhatsApp Conversations, based on the platform price and service usage. The card on file is charged if the balance falls below the minimum.

Is anything charged to the card only? #

Yes. Monthly fees or services like WhatsApp Subscription, Yext, WordPress Hosting, and other reselling options are charged directly to the card on file rather than the wallet.

What happens if the wallet hits $0.00 or goes negative? #

LC Services are temporarily halted if the wallet goes negative. A successful payment is required to reload the wallet before services resume.

Who pays the agency when a client recharges their wallet? #

When clients recharge, their credit card is charged and the funds are transferred to the agency’s Stripe account. In effect, the client pays the agency for wallet credits.

How does rebilling math work? #

The agency is billed by the platform for actual usage, while the client’s wallet is charged based on your rebilling factor. For example, 100 messages costing the agency $10 at a 5x factor charges the client’s wallet $50.

Can clients keep unused monthly complimentary credits? #

Yes. For monthly offers you can enable rollover, allowing customers to retain unused credits for the following month.
