Restore Overview

Accidentally deleting a contact is an annoying mistake; fortunately, you don’t have to worry about permanently deleting a contact. Thanks to the restore function, you can undo this mistake and get the information back in a few simple steps. Let’s learn how to use it.

Restore Contacts #

To access previously deleted contacts, click the three-dot icon in the top right corner and select Restore. This will display a comprehensive list of all contacts that were removed in the past, allowing you to review and potentially reinstate them as needed.

Note: Depending on your user permissions, you may not have access to all of the components.

No Deleted Contacts #

If this message appears, it indicates that no contacts are available for restoration at this time. To fully experience this guided tour and learn how to restore contacts, please revisit the tutorial after removing a contact from your CRM.

List of Deleted Contacts #

The contacts will be displayed in a table view, making their name (1), email (2), phone number (3), and deletion date (4) visible. It is crucial to carefully review these details to accurately identify the appropriate contact before proceeding with the restoration process.

If your list of deleted contacts is extensive, navigate through the pages using the provided buttons at the bottom of the list.

Restoring Contacts #

To reinstate one or more previously deleted contacts, identify the desired contacts in the list, then click the checkbox located on the far left side of each contact entry.

Once you have selected the desired contacts, click the Restore button.

After clicking the Restore button, a confirmation pop-up will appear on the screen. By selecting the Confirm button, you will complete the restoration process for the chosen contacts.

The successful restoration will reinstate the contacts and their associated conversation, notes, opportunities, tasks, appointments, and manual actions. A handy function for any CRM user, providing extra peace of mind. Helping you save a ton of time and effort by avoiding manually rebuilding the contact details each time.
