The Opportunities section helps you organize and track the journey of your leads, from entering your system to sales being completed. This trigger helps you automate that process by following up with opportunities once they are created inside the system.
Adding the Opportunity Created Trigger #
To get started, click on Add New Trigger, then search and select “Opportunity Created.”
Adding Filters #
You can filter which contacts trigger your automation by clicking Add Filters and selecting from the drop-down menu. The main ones for this trigger are:
- Assigned To: Filter the trigger based on the contact being assigned to a specific team member.
- Has Tag: Use specific tags along with the opportunity being created to start your workflow.
- In Pipeline: The creation only triggers the workflow when an opportunity card is in a specific pipeline you selected.
- Lead Value: Exclude leads whose value is outside of your desired parameters.
- Lost Reason: Track opportunities lost for specific reasons you have defined.
- Status: Include or exclude opportunities with a specific status.
After setting the filters, click the Save Trigger button located in the bottom-right corner to finalize your configuration.
Once you have set up the trigger, add any actions you want the workflow to perform and click Publish, then Save, to enable and save your changes.
Note: To publish a workflow after adding a trigger, you will need to establish workflow actions. Without both, you can only save the workflow.
This trigger helps you automate processes after a contact is added to your pipelines, improving your processes and ensuring contacts are taken care of. It gives you an easy way to assign tasks, notify teammates, and follow up with contacts.
