Your invoices are more than simple payment slips; they are a touchpoint with your customers that can leave a lasting impression of your brand. Adding the right fields, including specific information and branded elements, helps you make that difference, so follow along to learn how to achieve it.
Navigate to the Invoices & Estimates tab inside the Payments section and click the Settings option. Switch to the Title, Terms, and Layout section. Under Invoice Layout, click Customize Layout.
Layout Tab #
In this tab, you can customize the fields and colors of your invoice. The fields to customize are as follows.
Branding #
- Pay button color: Use this color selector to change the Pay button at the top.
- Border color: This option will modify the separator bar.
- Button text: Use this to add a branded phrase to your Pay button.
Business Information #
In this section, you can select what information to include or exclude, edit the details, and add Custom Values.
Contact Information #
Rename sections such as “Contact Information” to “Shipping Details” or anything that fits your needs, and add custom fields to contact information on the go for personalized invoices.
Invoice Information #
This section contains the invoice fields that can’t be edited since they are required for the invoice to be valid.
Labels #
This section allows you to edit column labels to add branded text instead of the default for fields such as Item Name, Price, Quantity, Tax, and Subtotal, or choose to hide them by unchecking the box next to them.
Preview changes live on your invoice template. Once you’re satisfied, click Save Changes to apply your new design instantly.
