When hosting your website outside the CRM, or running external ads, having the ability to add your forms or surveys to those sources is essential. Let’s follow these steps to access it.
Accessing the Builder #
Navigate to the Forms or Surveys tab inside the Sites section and select the Builder option.
Select the Form/Survey you want to get the code for.
Click Integrate at the top right corner.
By default, the Embed Code section will open. Click the copy icon in surveys to save it in your clipboard.
For forms, you can adjust the embed layout type, trigger type, and activation and deactivation options, before clicking the Copy embed code button.
The embed code will be copied to your clipboard. Now you can head over to your website editor to paste the code element as you would normally, creating an easy integration with your CRM even for external sites.
Frequently Asked Questions #
What is an i-frame embed code? #
It is a snippet of code that lets you display your CRM form or survey on an external website or page while keeping it connected to your CRM.
Where do I find the embed code? #
Open the Forms or Surveys builder, select your item, and click Integrate in the top right corner to open the Embed Code section.
Can I customize how a form is embedded? #
Yes. For forms you can adjust the embed layout type, trigger type, and activation and deactivation options before copying the code.
Will submissions from an embedded form still reach my CRM? #
Yes. Because the embedded form stays connected to your CRM, submissions are captured just as they would be on a form hosted inside the CRM.
Can I use the embed code on any website? #
Yes. Once copied, you can paste the code into virtually any website editor that accepts custom code or HTML elements.
Do I need to copy a new code if I change my form? #
In most cases the embedded form updates automatically, but if you change embed settings such as layout or trigger type, copy and paste the updated code to apply those changes.
