How to Create an App Password in Bluesky #
Log in to your Bluesky account, then navigate to Settings > Privacy & Security > App Passwords.
Click + Add App Password, then name your app password and click Next.
Be sure to copy the app password immediately, as you will need it during setup.
Note: App passwords are displayed only once. If missed, you will need to delete and regenerate.
How to Connect Bluesky #
From your account dashboard, navigate to the Marketing tab and select Social Planner. Click the + Socials button, then choose Connect Bluesky from the available options.
Enter your Bluesky username (excluding the “@” symbol), for example: username.bsky.social. Then, paste the app password you generated.
Click Connect to complete the integration.
Click Add next to your profile to complete the connection.
Once added, your Bluesky account will appear under the All Accounts dropdown in the Social Planner.

- Tagging/Mentions: Use the full handle (for example, @name.bsky.social). Type carefully or copy and paste.
- Hashtags: Use standard #hashtag format. Letters, numbers, and underscores are allowed, but hashtags cannot be numbers only.
- Character Limit: 300 characters per post.
- Emojis: Supported.
- Links: Must begin with http:// or https://. Links count as 23 characters regardless of their actual length. The use of link shorteners is discouraged.
